Requirements

• How much space is required to install The Garage Box above a garage door?

  A minimum of 19” of clear space between the garage door in the open position and the ceiling is required.

• How much space is required to install The Garage Box when not installing above a garage door?

  A minimum of 8’6” from garage floor to ceiling is required. In addition, the unit must rise and park to at least 7’ above the garage floor.

• How much space will The Garage Box take up in my garage?

  The standard Garage Box is 48”x 96”x 12″ in size.

Installation

• How long will the installation take?

  Our trained professionals will have the installation completed within a day.

• Are there any special requirements for the day of installation?

  Our trained professionals will need complete access in the area The Garage Box is being installed. Additionally, it is important that the area be free and clear of items on the floor as well as clear of anything on the ceiling.

Operation/Maintenance

• How do I raise or lower The Garage Box?

  With the garage door closed, move the position switch to either the up or down position and press and hold the up or down button on the master control box mounted to the garage wall.

• How do I load The Garage Box?

  Lower The Garage Box down to a comfortable waist position level for easy loading and unloading.

• What type of maintenance is required?

  Check the mounting bolts, lifting straps, and safety bolts once a season.

Safety

• What safety features are on The Garage Box?

  The Garage Box will not lower when the garage door is raised nor will the garage door operate when the garage lift is being used. The Garage Box is held in place by a static brake and requires electricity to unlock for raising and lowering.

• Any additional safety features on The Garage Box?

  The Garage Box will not operate unless the up or down buttons on the master control box are depressed.
